Kickstarted in 2019, our AI residency program seeks to exploit the vast yet untapped talent pool in Vietnam and nurture the next generation of AI experts by exposing them to intensive project-based training and state-of-the-art facilities

Since 2019, the AI Residency Program (Research-based) has trained 87 brilliant young talents and had 101 papers accepted and published at Top-tier conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, AAAI, ICML, ICLR, EMNLP, NAACL. The program also records 95 Ph.D. scholarships across the world’s top 20 Computer Science universities.
Throughout the two-year program, residents have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of a research project: from idea inception; methodology formulation and exploration; experiment design and implementation; result interpretation; to reporting and presentation at top-tier AI conferences.
Requirements
- Current penultimate or final year students, recent CS program graduates from a University in Vietnam or abroad and individuals with a recent and relevant Master’s degree seeking a PhD scholarship
- A minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0 or 8.0/10
- A motivated individual with a great interest in research
- Good mathematics or coding skills
- Intermediate English learners

We accept online & unofficial transcript during interviews. Only qualified candidates will be invited for interview sessions.
No. All residents are expected to work on-site at VinAI office in Hanoi / HCM city during their residency.
There are NO fees to participate in the program. The program offers a competitive salary and relocation package for selected candidates.
